The embrace you stay in a little longer. A parent watching the ceremony. Friends laughing before anyone is ready. I’m Nic Chung, a wedding photographer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with an eye for those moments as well as the portraits you’ll keep.

A wedding brings together the people who know you best. My work is to photograph how you are together, from the quieter preparations to the ceremony and the celebration. I watch what happens around you as well as what happens in front of the camera.
My fine art approach brings care to light, composition and natural colour. There is space for portraits and for the small, unplanned gestures that make the day yours. I want the photographs to feel close when you open them again in ten or twenty years.

Where are you based, and do you travel?
I’m based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I photograph weddings in Malaysia and travel worldwide. My portfolio includes celebrations in Bali, Langkawi and Tokyo.
How would you describe your wedding photography?
Fine art, with real moments at its heart. I pay attention to light, composition and natural colour while watching for family exchanges, laughter and expressions as they happen. Portraits sit alongside those spontaneous photographs.
